The unfolding part of how a doctor killed Charles Ansong (a trainee nurse )

Charles,  was later on brought to the recovery ward again from the theatre. He seems not responsive after the surgery although he would manage to fake a smile to keep those around him hopeful of his survival.

On Monday 22nd May, 2017, the Doctor behind the tragic passing on of the only Son to a Mother, hurriedly reviewed Charles and kept him on antibiotics and that clinically casted a doom spell on the Precious life of CHARLES ANSONG  A.K.A Catheter.

All of a sudden Charles was noticed to be having dyspnoea (difficulty in breathing) and started swelling up ( generalized oedema ).

He was placed on oxygen but friends and relatives who were not happy about the turn of events surrounding their Son, Friend and Mate asked for referral something which took them eternity to do.

On Wednesday 24th May,2017, friends who turned up to visit Charles, were handed a referral letter to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and so started making arrangements for him to be transferred there.

The referral delayed than expected with a whole lot of issues ranging from getting an ambulance and it's related issues. He was finally received at Korle-Bu around 3.30pm that same Wednesday and quickly rushed to the theatre while samples for Laboratory investigations were requested and taken.

The investigations showed he had septicaemia (infections), Charles's Rbs read 1.4mmol/L with an IVF ringers lactate in situ from Alpha Hospital.  Although his sugar level was low (don't know why Alpha couldn't detect this).

Quickly 50ml of 50% dextrose was given to shoot up the sugar level and he was placed on a cardiac monitor aside IV adrenalin also given.

Doctors tried to sustain his life before embarking on a 3rd surgery, little did they know it was just too late for Charles to pull through.

Charles Ansong, passed on 24th May, 2017, around 9.40pm. Something which didn't even call for a major surgery as said by doctors at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital even concluded that a mere incision and drainage could have been good instead of the Exploratory Laparotomy done at Pentecost Hospital  ended Charles up in the least expected places like the  mortuary.

There have been countless issues, unanswered questions and comments people have passed about this same Pentecost Hospital and same Doctor who Charles happens to be the third victim in the hands of same Doctor.

Now these are my questions
1. Is Pentecost Hospital well-equipped to perform emergency surgeries of such Nature?

2. Why the sudden rush to perform surgeries even without doing proper decontamination and how can one doctor perform an emergency Explorative major surgery?

3. How come the nurses on duty leave the client to be checked on by his mates who went for surgery less than 24hours.

4. What caused the delay in referral?

5. What caused the infection right after the surgery for such a vibrant guy to lose his life just like that ?

6. What brought about the the guy being wheeled back to the theatre after few minutes being sent to the recovery ward.

7. What decision is Pentecost Hospital taking regarding the doctor who Charles is his third victim in a matter of months in the same year.
The Soul of Charles Ansong seeks for Justice to have a Peaceful Rest.

Face of Gahti 2017

Face of Gahti is here to stay and over the years I must say am really impressed with their progress and how things have improved right from organization to audition straight to the main event. This year's event is slated to take off on the 6th of May and promise to be one of the best looking at how things are going.
